The GH Breathing Circuit Bacterial Filter Drier warms the patient’s exhaled air as it passes through the main flow bacteria filter on its way to the monitoring spirometer. The heated filter prevents bacteria in the exhaled air from escaping to the room. It reduces cross-contamination of spirometer parts and minimizes condensation in the bellows chamber.
The GH Breathing Circuit Bacterial Filter Drier raises exhaled air temperature by 5 to 6℃, maintains the volume of the flow to stabilize the sensor and reduces ventilator’s rate of breakdown.
Heater shuts down at 75°C as a safety feature during electrical surges.
